Why is Law App asking for Microsoft permission when I first try to save an email or open the add-in

This prompt appears the very first time you use Law App with Microsoft 365 and Outlook. It’s part of Microsoft’s secure Graph API integration and is expected behavior.

To proceed without interruption:

Click “Yes” to grant Law App permission to connect with Microsoft 365.

Tick “Always allow” so you aren’t asked again.

This ensures Law App can:

Access and save emails to the correct file

Display your Outlook folders in the add-in

Authenticate you securely using Microsoft’s modern API model (Microsoft Graph)

If the prompt reappears or access fails:

Log out of both Outlook and Law App, then log back in.

Press 🔄 Ctrl + F5 to refresh your browser session.

Ask your IT administrator to:

  • Open Outlook > File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings
  • Ensure API permissions are allowed for Microsoft Graph integrations

These permissions are managed by Microsoft. If users are frustrated, it’s often due to Microsoft’s own security and integration rules — not something Law App can override.
