    To give clients a complete view of what they owe, attach a Debtor’s Statement to your communications or invoices. This document provides a summary of:

    Current charges from the latest bill

    Any previous outstanding balances

    The total amount due

    This is especially helpful when clients have:

    Multiple bills from prior months

    Part-paid invoices with remaining balances

    Credits or adjustments that affect the overall amount owed

    Tip: The Debtor’s Statement can be printed or attached as a PDF and is useful for reconciling payments, trust allocations, or end-of-matter billing summaries.
